A Copy & Paste Entry

Yes it seems really seriously long when I made the last entry especially on My Boys’ Paradise. There are really many things that I want to share but I seriously lack the time to do so and it seems sadly 😦 that my hobby of blogging and sharing has kind of taken a back seat.

Anyway today I am going to make an entry in My Boys’ Paradise all because I have decided to copy and paste from Clemens’s Show & Tell topic from last week- “MY FAVOURITE PLACE” . Yup call me lazy or whatsoever but I thought it was rather well written by him (or at least I thought so) with minimal modification by me. So here is how it goes:

Good morning Teachers and Friends. Today I am going to talk about my favourite place. My favourite place is the Wild Wild Wet. We go there whenever my daddy gets the corporate card from his company. My brother and I love this place because it is a huge water-themed park with lots of gigantic slides.

My family and I like to wait at the “Professor’s playground” for the BIG water bucket to splash down us. I enjoy the “ULAR-LAH” the best because we can scream happily as a family pretending to be very afraid going down the scary slide in an enormous float.

There is this ride called the “Slide-Up”. It is only for bigger boys. I will love to try it out when I am much bigger. We always go back home when the park closes feeling tired and happy.

There is it and I thought it pretty much has already talked about the more interesting ride. To add on, it has been voted as 2012 Best Overall Water Theme Park by TimeOut Singapore.

I realized we do not have many of the photos as most of time we were more concerned about having fun than taking photos. 🙂

So if you do want some water cool, do consider dropping by. 🙂

An Intimate Shopping Trip

If you have followed me, you will realised that I have been having a weight issue. And also because I have given birth twice and neglected myself, I also have the problem of sagging skin hence I have decided to take the advice of my mum and many close friends to wear the waist clincher dilegently in order to “keep the skin back”. But it was really difficut to find one that was affordable and comfortable that I can manage fuss free and something I know that I can keep wearing it and not chuck it aside (if you get wad I mean).

Anyway I happen to step into Chaloné today and I found this (or should I say the helpful lady assistant recomended it to me:

SKYLA Waist Clincher (1082) in Nude & Black

One look at it, I kinda of knew that was exactly I was look for.

$89.90 per piece with a $20 discount if you get 2 pieces

It has 2 buckle strips at the front with a front zip. This was just so easy without having me to fret about how i am going to mange those with the buckles at the back. The only catch is you seriously have to suck in your tummy as best as you can to prevent from zipping up your own skin. Once you pass that, everything is just perfect.

2 pieces of buckle strips with the zip all settled at the front. So easy

I did not even want to remove it and ask the lady to cut away the tag instead after  which I continue walking down the roads of orchard for a good 3-4 hours. No sweat, the material is breatheable and even my ongoing backache problem seems to have ease off as it corrects my posture and pulls everything together.

I am really lazy to take my measurement but the lady had mentioned that if I put it on diligently on a daily basis, most proberly in 6 months time I will be able to switch these down 2 sizes smaller. Hope that works.

For those also looking for something like that, below is the adress where I got it from though I realised there are other outlets as well.

And just I head home, my mummy called me and told me excitedly that the slimming & firming girdle that I wanted was going really cheap at Deal.com.sg. And it is seriously cheap compared to the ones that I saw at the malls.

So yup I ordered 2 pieces of it and am now waiting for the reply and delivery.

It is indeed an intimate shopping spree today. 🙂

The Vocabulary List

As promised to my boys , I booked the 3D tickets to watch Madagascar 3- Europe’s Most Wanted with my boys today since I was on leave. We really had a fun filled day shopping, eating and catching up. One of the most erm…. interesting talk of the day with my boys was during our lunch at McDonalds.

  • Clemens: (opening up his cup of corn) Mummy!!! Look at my BASTARD corn!!!!!!!
  • Me: (Toally shocked) What did you just say?!!!!!!
  • Clemens: BASTARD corn mum………
  • Me: Do you know that is 1 of the worst “B” word you can ever use on someone? Do you even know what it means?
  • Clemens: Oh really………… then mummy can you please tell me what it means so I won’t use it again.
  • Me:  Do you know when someone calls you a bastard, it means you do not have a daddy with you? It is relly hurting.
  • Clemens: (with the most unassuming and innocent expression) But I am right what mum, daddy is not out with us today so we are bastards.
  • Damir: (Wide-eye innocence) So mummy, we are bastards??????
  • Me: (Stone, stune, shock) That is not how it goes or means……… (-_-“). It means when a boy and a girl do not get married and they have a baby.
  • Clemens:Why they don’t get married???

I was really runnning out of innovative ideas to explain to him. Thinking really hard on how to explain the ‘illegitimate child’  I decided to touch a little bits of the birds and bees, after much struggle. So……….

  • Me: Erm….. you see daddy and mummy sleep together because we are married. If a boy and girl sleep together not married and have a baby, the baby is called a bastard. So if someone calls you bastard it is not right because your daddy and mummy is married. And I don’t want you to use it on other people because you might not always know the truth. Do you understand me?
  • Clemens: Ok I understand now, I will not use the worst “B” word again.

Phew……… and just as I thought all was finally over………..

  • Clemens: Mummy, can you please tell me what is FUCK???????
  • Me: (Oh god not again, I really do not know how to explain this) Clemens, mummy really do not know how to tell you but it is the worst “F” word around. Let it be our secret word and I will tell you when you are 10 years old. Just promise me you won’t say it out for now. (yup you can see I am buying time for now)
  • Clemens: Alrighty mum………….

and then………………

  • Damir: Mummy is STUPID a bad word?
  • Me: (really exhausted from racking my brain cells to explain) Not really Damir but it is not nice to use it on people. It is mean.
  • Damir: But daddy is always scolding us stupid……….

Daddy are you reading this NOW??????

And mind you that we were having this dicussion in a public place where I have eyes from the next table glancing over occassionally and I was just trying to look so cool about it like, “What’s the big deal?”. It is the kind of moment where you wish that the floor will just open up so that you have a place a hide.

So… today I learnt that is my boys’ list of expletives vocabulary. Am I worried? Well I am a half here and half there meaning, I need to be more aware of my boys surroundings, and I am glad that they are asking me so I know 1st hand of what is going on around them. Because of this and with our open communication (instead of shutting them up) I was also able to know where they get this “rich” list from.

Anyway, the day was really good, with the boys and I seriously enjoying the movie, laughing our lungs out. Kids or adults looking for a funny movie should not miss this at all.

And because it included shopping and eating, here are the damages:

Popcorn & Movie

While Waiting For their Food

The Boys’ High Tea @ Canele 🙂

Shoppings~ All Theirs

All the Cuties

Clemens 🙂

Damir 🙂

Dinner Ended with Their Cousin-Girlee

I seriously have had a wonderful day though my hubby feels that I should go back to work. But anyway the boys feel that I should be at home with them. 🙂

Best Brunch Ever

” Sitting in the midst of luscious greens in a small cozy like cottage. having brunch, sipping tea with the cold breeze settling on the skin, making small talks with my boys. That is Absolute BLISS!!!”

Exams are over for the term, I have had my parties with my friends. My hubby had taken the loving thoughts to book us a place at the Riders Cafe since 2 weeks ago via Chope Instant Reservations

51 Fairways Drive, Bukit Timah Saddle Club, phone bookings: +65 6466 9819, Closed on Mondays.

The moment I step in, I will say I fell in love with the place first before the food. The interior so cozy, my hubby got us a window seat where the boys can look out at the stable while having their food (Just a pity it was raining that day, not many horses to look at). Looking at the vast of greens, it doesn’t seem that I am in Singapore anymore. It just reminds us of The Village Green at Highfields that we use to frequent during our stay at Australia. 🙂 Thanks Hubby, I am loving it so much 🙂

The Interoir, Us and The Boys looking out into the Stables 🙂

The boys sure did enjoy themsleves watching a lady scrubbing down her house though it is a far cry from what they had experience at our home in Aussie where we stay across a range and them feeding the horses every evening with my apples and carrots. They thought that they could do the same here and kept asking us if we could feed it with apples and of course the answer was, “No…” :(.

The Horsy Taking its Bath

Anyway when our food came, it was WOW, Wow, wow….. At least for Clemens and I, our food were absoultely gorgeous. I had the Soft-shell crab egg benedict, while Clemens had ‘The Usual’ which is scramble eggs on toast with sussage and BACON. Yup Bacon is his favourite. 🙂 My egg benedict was absolute divine with the crunchiness of the soft-shell crab in each bite dipped in the runny yolk of the poached eggs. The fresh side greens keeps everything down without giving you the feeling of being over-fed. 🙂

My Soft-Shell Crab Egg Benedict, Clemens's 'The Usual' and Damir's Kiddy Meal

As for my hubby, he ordered the normal egg benedict which he thought was really normal and at the moment he still prefers the one we had at Forty-Hands. As for Damir, we thought we will get him the kids meal that sounded really yummy French Toast Drizzled with Chocolate Hazelnut Sauce topped with Marshmellows but in actual the smell and taste of cinnamon was abit over powering for his liking and not too much to my liking as well.

Hubby and our boys really busy eating 🙂

However overall, we still enjoyed ourelves, the atmosphere, the small talks we made to each other. Time seem to stop for us a little while then and my favourite are these:

Our Ever-sweet Damir

The Manly Clemens

The Boys Debating Who to Have the Last FRIES

Have I mention that the strawberry milkshake is great too but only a little too sweet? Whatever it is, we have decided that this shall be one of our hangouts from now. 🙂

This brunch is great because of who we are with. 🙂

What A GOOD Friday!!!

If you ever remember that we have promised the boys that we will go kite flying again, well we did. And since it is the public holiday-Good Friday which meant we have more time, we decided to go to Marina Barrage. 🙂

The boys all got all so excited upon seeing all the kites swimming in the blue clouds

Upoon arriving I realised that it is the same old Marina South which my hubby and I use to date. So if you were to ask me, I will prefer the old place with the great vast of green where we can run around instead of the small piece of green where we have on the top of the roof of Marina Barrage now. If ya get what I mean.

Anyway back to the topic, we drove through McDonalds to ‘ta-bao’ (meaning-take-away) some food for our little picnic.

The boys laying out their items

We found a nice place to lay our stuff and because it rained earlier that morning, the field was rather muddy.

The boys quickly got into action and my hubby was again having a hard time getting the kite up because of the wind. 🙂 So flying a kite is not as simple as it seems. 🙂

Daddy fixing up the kite

Our Doreamon preparing to take flight

Yipppe our Doreamon has taken flight

But the boys still enjoyed their themselves very much especially when we rented the scooters for the boys to explore around.

S$10 per half an hour

After a few hours of play, we got so hungry that we had a sumptous steamboat dinner at Imperial Treasure Steamboat. I have been always meaning to try this out but hubby has always felt the price tag abit too hefty. So when he suggested having steamboat for dinner, I quickly jumped at the chance. 🙂

Hubby thinking about what to order

We had the 2 person set meal which is really quite a lot for 2 person but because adding in our 2 little dear boys who finished up the meat, I wished there was more meat. 🙂

But overall, I seriously love the thick and rich soup base. We chose the traditional pork bone soup base and I love the sauce that the lady mix for us with 12 condiments. It was superb yummy espeially when you dip in the meat.

The 12 Condiments

From clockwise: delicious sauce mix from the 12 condiments, the 8 treasure balls, the fresh sallops and and pork, my favourite bamboo clam

There were more food but I only managed to take these. Was too hungry and busy eating.

See hubby and Clemens busy cooking their food in the thick and rich broth. 🙂

Hubby too busy tucking in

Clemens cooking his prawns

As Clemens said, “Best day of the year 🙂 !!” I am looking forward t more of these.

Finally…… A Little Breather

Gone are my assignments and mid-term exams for the trimester leaving a month away to my finals. 🙂 Hence I am finally able to catch some time with my kiddos before their 1st term holiday ends.

There was not much time time left leaving only the weekends and so we went to watch this movie that Clemens have been harping on when the shots 1st came out and that is…….

Picture curtesy from http://teaser-trailer.com

We watched it in 3D- which actually has brought movies to a whole new level and we enjoyed ourselves so much that there were constant bursts of laughter not only by us  but the other auiences as well. Cute as the movie is, this is a truly meaningful story too about how important trees are to us and the universe supplying us with fresh air.

Having their quick lunch before the movie 🙂

Our favourite character will be the orangey look-alike garfield cat that speaks for the tree, the singing fishes and the little bear.

If you do not get what I mean and are curious about it, do catch the movie before it runs out.

Anyway because my boys love going to the movies so much, our next movie date will be the Madagascar 3 in 3D. 🙂

Picture curtesy from http://www.geekinvaders.com

This is another 3D movie that I am so looking forward to my boys. 🙂

And have I mention that I am insanely crazily enjoying ferrying my lung-screaming boys around. This is something that I have missed so much for the past month.

A Car of Chittering and Chattering Kids 🙂

Before The School Holidays End… …

Today is finally the end of the year-end holidays before the school finally reopens for the boys tomorrow :). We had initially thought about staying home the whole day, lazing and idling around, when my hubby took out the kite that was given to Clemens during his Primary One Orientation and so it was off to kite-flying in the early evening at a near by park.

You can see how happy the boys are

And how hard daddy is trying to fix the kite.

Then YEAH!!! The kite is fixed :).

It has been a long time since we flew a kite and I guess the last was when we were in Aussie but because I have taken the simple daily bliss for granted, there was never photo taken. 😦

Anyway it is never too late and now it is time to FLY THAT KITE!!

I am not sure if it is the wind’s problem for being inconsistent, material of the kite or the kite flying skill had turned rusty, it seems to take a while for the  kite to be up there for awhile.

As you can see……

The boys helped out.

They managed to get it up mid air.

Only to have it coming it down again.

They tried again but it seems more like a tug-a-war.

Then Damir decided to monkey around.

Then both boys decided to run away.

Leaving Dad really frustrated that he strike an ultra-man pose. 🙂

Clemens came back, gave another try with dad.

And finally our little kite is soaring next to a gigantic kite (or at least it seems HUGE beside ours)

Now hubby swore to get a better kite for the boys the next time round.

Well, after all the sweat, laughter and frustrations, it is backed to reality at home.

PRESSED SCHOOL UNIFORMS,

PACKED SCHOOL BAGS.

I hope they have their filled of fun and joy now that they are going to start school again especially for Clemens who is officially entering into another phase of his life: Primary School.
