*WARNING: This entry is going to be photos OVERLOAD! Please enjoy them as much as I did. 🙂
This week we had a public holiday which is the Singapore’s National Day. My hubby (despite being ill) decided to fulfil his promise to our boys by bringing then to the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden. We first chance upon this garden 2 years ago when I was working with the National University of Singapore at the Bukit Timah Campus. Ever since, we will occasionally bring the boys there till I resigned about 6 months ago.
I have to say that this is a very educational place designed for unique discovery and learning through play in a garden setting. There is also a little cafe- Kidz Cafe for light snacks & beverages.

This place is really definitely great for kids where they can really run around, expand their bottomless-pit energy and to cool off at the water play when they are all sweaty and sticky from all the running, climbing, jumping and sand play.

After looking at our boys having fun the whole morning, our tummies were rumbling and we decided it is enough for the boys. So after cleaning them up, we headed on to:
Casa Verde belongs to the Les Amis Group and is one of my favourite eating place. I love how it is nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Botanical Garden and of course the food especially the pizzas. This is also a place that my boys love very much because I guess being kids, they love being close to Mother Nature. This is a place where it is in the botanical gardens and they get to explore, run around, be carefree and get exhausted (if you get what I mean). And because the restaurant is so nature friendly, it is definitely a place for people with pets too.
From the photos, I know we have made our boys very happy and my cup is absolutely FULL OF HAPPINESS ! If you have been to The Children’s Garden and have enjoyed it as much as we did, the next time I will like to share a book with you guys that I had bought from The Garden Shop for my boys – Lost in the Secret Garden. This is a book they can relate very well too and will make me read to them each time after their trip to Jacob Ballas. So do come back and visit. 🙂
